Our concept of a consultative day clinic is a prototype of a new generation clinic that can be built and developed in different sizes and that offers patients and guests a relaxing and stimulating atmosphere.
Aesthetics is an essential element that influences a person’s well being and can be specifically utilized in the health sector. There are remarkable projects from renowned architects in Great Britain of cancer consulting centers that help prevent or counter patient’s fears and anxieties and thus help them heal.
Many hospitals are aesthetically designed in a way that patients cannot relax and do not support or help the patient’s recovery process. In the past years, efforts have been made towards transforming the image of a typical hospital into that of a healing center.
The spatial structure of the Healing Center includes large common areas that open up and ‚flow’ into one another, elliptical shaped rooms where medical facilities are situated and an Entrée in the center. The combination of a cafe, a library and small auditoriums help encourage the process of healing and health.
Circle Health is a private company in Great Britain that has developed various projects that follow the idea of a new generation of healing centers. One of the projects was completed in Bath and was designed by Norman Foster. A similar concept of a healing center was built in Heidelberg, Germany in 2010 - the NCT designed by Behnisch Architekten.
The project ‚Healing Garden’ attempts, through stimulating space constellations, specific materials and its construction, to create a qualitative environment that helps encourage and support the process of healing and health.
